Joseph Daniel FRCS MS(Orth)
Director of Research

Joseph Daniel had his initial orthopaedic training at the University College Delhi and the Postgraduate Institute in Chandigarh in India and worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Delhi for almost a decade. While undertaking further training in arthroplasty in the UK, Mr Derek McMinn invited him to take on the ongoing research projects at the McMinn Centre. As a highly regarded member of the team Joseph participates in clinical and operating duties and has led our research efforts with eminence. He has several publications in leading journals and is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences.

Chandra Pradhan FRCS MCh(Ortho)
Staff Surgeon

Chandra Pradhan has been a key member of the McMinn Team for 12 years, assisting Mr McMinn in the operating theatre, on the ward and at the Consulting Rooms.  In addition to his clinical and surgical work, Chandra makes a valuable contribution to the Research Programme.

Hena Ziaee BSc(Hons)
Biomedical Scientist

Hena assists both Mr McMinn and Mr Daniel with an ever increasing number of research studies.  This involves liaising directly with patients to schedule and carry out investigations from which she produces highly technical information.  Hena is also involved in presenting these results at orthopaedic meetings.

Beverley Fletcher
Research Assistant

As research assistant Beverley carries out administrative tasks such as sending out appointment letters, updating and completing the questionnaire database and updating our growing patient demographic database. She also inputs assessment results for use in orthopaedic publications and presentations at national and international conferences.

Luke Dabbs
Research Assitant (12 month work placement)

Luke joins us on a 12 month work placement from The University of Manchester where he studies Anatomical Sciences. He assists the research department with their ongoing assignments whilst working on a project focussed on the development and testing of a new hip arthroplasty. Luke comes to us via links to his previous work in the field of UHMWPE testing.
